Bridging Generations using AI-Supported Co-Creative Activities
This study explores AI's potential in bridging generational gaps between grandparents and grandchildren through co-creative activities, specifically AI-supported story creation. We conducted a user study with 29 grandparent-grandchild groups, observing how AI facilitated communication, structured creativity, and balanced contributions. Findings reveal AI fosters mutual appreciation and cohesive co-creation, offering design implications for integrating AI across diverse skill levels.
