Our dual-tower model leverages a cross-querier general encoder for broad understanding and a querier-specific encoder for unique personalization. This architecture ensures efficient adaptation to diverse user needs while maintaining a unified AI system.
Key innovation includes low-rank matrices in the specific encoder for parameter efficiency and a query similarity-based clustering strategy to enhance contrastive learning.
We introduce a novel querier-contrastive loss function with multi-view augmentation. This loss pulls dialogue representations from the same querier closer, while pushing those from different queriers apart.
This method significantly improves the model's ability to differentiate between querier personalities, leading to more relevant and personalized responses.
To address the lack of suitable datasets, we created MQDialog, a multi-querier dialogue dataset from English, Chinese, and real-world WeChat records. It contains 173 queriers and 12 responders.
Extensive evaluations show our design achieves significant improvements in ROUGE-L scores (8.4%-48.7%) and high winning rates (54%-82%) compared to baselines.

Real-World Impact: Customer Support Scenario
Imagine a large enterprise's customer support. A bioinformatician queries about genetic sequencing. A traditional LLM provides a general, high-level overview.
Our Querier-Aware LLM, recognizing the querier's professional background, responds with sophisticated technical vocabulary, advanced methodological details, and domain-specific references. This deep personalization fosters trust and efficiency.
Later, a high school student asks the same question. The Querier-Aware LLM simplifies complex concepts, employs accessible analogies, and progressively builds foundational understanding, ensuring the information is digestible and engaging for their specific knowledge level.
